what is dichotomy...

Before we are a skateboard company we are an artistic movement, a process.

Dichotomy is about self-expression and participating in something beautiful; something that goes beyond a rider's movements.

In the process of creating visually stimulating work, we hope to compliment and enhance self-expression and creativity, inspire all individuals to live in the moment and make the most of every motion.

Skateboarding is the manipulation and mastery of time and space, and that is what we tap into.

This is not about competition, reputation, or skate industry politics. This is about acknowledging the greater form of creativity that powers skateboarding, asserting it as a true form of art in itself.

While we may spend countless hours creating something that is expressive, what matters is that the work comes alive when others interact with it, and, even better, destroy it. This is not about stagnation.

This is about choice, freedom and articulation of the individual.
